CHIMACUM — Sequim is off to a hot start to the baseball season.

In their wins over Shelton and Chimacum, the Wolves have scored 22 runs while only allowing five total hits.

Daniel Harker homered, drove in three runs and struck out four batters in the Wolves’ 11-1 nonleague rout of the Cowboys on Thursday.

Harker hit a two-run homer in Sequim’s five-run fifth inning.

Harker, who started at first base, then pitched the fifth and sixth innings, during which he fanned four batters and held Chimacum scoreless.

Evan Hurn scored on Harker’s dinger after opening the fifth with a triple.

James Grubb went 3 for 5 with a pair of runs, an RBI and two steals.

Nigel Christian started the game for the Wolves and earned the win by holding the Cowboys to one hit and one run over four innings.
