ATHLETES OF THE WEEK: Luke Dahlgren and Colby Demorest, Forks wrestlers

Forks’ Luke Dahlgren and Colby Demorest are having a spectacular season of wrestling as the Spartan wrestling team has been a powerhouse all season.

Dahlgren last weekend won his 220-pound weight division and Demorest won at 160 pounds at the prestigious Sgt. Norton Memorial tournament in Rainier. They also each finished first at The Rock tournament on Vashon on Dec. 30, while Dahlgren was first at the Mount Baker Invitational and the Spud Walley Invitational.

Dahlgren also went 4-0 in four matches at the Dream Duals in Spokane this weekend, while Demorest won three matches.

Demorest and Dahlgren have joined with teammate Josue Lucas in helping to lead a powerful overall team that is looking to place high at state this year.
