ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Logan Storm, Chimacum golf

Logan Storm has been leading the way this season for the Chimacum boys golf team.

This weekend, Storm shot a nine-hole round of 43 to lead the Cowboys at the very difficult White Horse Golf Course in Kingston.

Last week, Storm had two outstanding rounds. He was the first-place medalist on April 16 in a match against Bremerton, shooting a 39, a whopping 13 strokes better than the second-place golfer from Bremerton.

A 13-stroke win is pretty impressive, but his match on April 15 might have been even better. In an 18-hole, four-school Olympic League meet, Storm finished second with a 75, just one stroke behind Paul Jacobsen and Blake Wiker, both of Sequim, two of the best 2A golfers in the state.
