Jackson Dupuy’s monster game Friday night helped lead the East Jefferson Rivals to the biggest upset win of the year on the Olympic Peninsula.
The Bellevue Christian Vikings, a perennial powerhouse, came in to Friday’s game at Port Townsend Memorial Stadium with a 5-0 record.
The Rivals shocked the Vikings with an emphatic 33-7 victory. Dupuy had a 90-yard touchdown run and ended up rushing 14 times for 154 yards. Teammate Luke O’Hara also had an interception return for a TD, while Jameson Henery had a 40-yard return after an interception to set up another touchdown as the Rivals enjoyed their biggest win in at least a couple of years.
East Jefferson next plays at Kingston on Friday looking to build on the momentum from its big victory.
