Port Angeles’ Dallas Dunning saved his best game of the season for the Rainshadow Rivalry against Sequim.
Dunning, a 6-foot-5 forward who causes most teams all kinds of problems with his long arms and his defense, defied the scouting report by draining five 3-pointers against the Wolves to score a season-high 19 points. His barrage from downtown was a big chunk of 12 3-pointers made by the Roughriders in their 77-52 victory over Sequim to remain tied for second place in the ultra-competitive Olympic League.
Dunning added a pair of thundering blocks to his offense and of course his usual contributions of steals and rebounds.
Dunning has been consistently scoring in double digits for the Riders this season with his previous best a 16-point effort against North Kitsap.
Dunning and his Roughriders teammates return to action at 7 p.m. today with a big game against Bainbridge at home.
