ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Cole Baysinger, Forks Track and Field

Forks’ Cole Baysinger has had a spectacular track and field season this spring.

Baysinger has picked up 14 first-place finishes this season in four events, including four first places at the Lions Club Forks Meet in April.

Baysinger concluded his regular season with first-place finishes in the high jump and the discus at the Evergreen 1A League Meet last week. He also came in second in the triple jump and third in the shot put and he is in the top 10 statewide in both the high jump and the discus.

Baysinger will now move on to the SWW 1A Meet in in Woodland Thursday.
