YMCA offers T-Ball Camp with the Lefties

PORT ANGELES — The Olympic Peninsula YMCA’s T-Ball Camp with the Port Angeles Lefties for all kids ages 4 through 6 is set Tuesday through Thursday

This mini-day-camp will include orientation to the sport and skill building.

The camp will run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Civic Field, 307 S. Race St.

The cost is $20 per player and includes a T-shirt.

Rivals football, cheer

PORT TOWNSEND — The East Jefferson Rivals Youth Football League will hold a football and cheer camp for ages 4 through 12 at Memorial Field on Aug. 5.

Registration opens at 9:30 a.m. and the camp will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $25 per participant and includes a cool treat and a $10 discount on regular season registration fees.

The camp is open to players and cheerleaders of all skill levels.

If cheerleaders register for the regular season, they will receive a free bow for their hair with their uniforms.

Participants should dress in athletic attire and bring plenty of water and snacks.

Limited concessions will be available for purchase.

JeffCo Soccer Club

CHIMACUM — Registration is open for Jefferson County Soccer Club’s fall recreational soccer program for players ages 7 through 18 (U7-U18).

Practices normally begin in late August, with coaches setting the number of practices per week (usually once a week in-season and twice a week during the preseason).

Teams will play a 10-game season with five away games on the Kitsap Peninsula and five home games at HJ Carroll Park.

Shooter’s Shootout

SEQUIM — A Shooter’s Shootout Par-3 Challenge will be held at The Cedars at Dungeness on Aug. 20.

The first 50 paid players will be entered into a raffle for $500 in pro shop credit.

Entry fees are $75 for the public, $50 for Cedars members and employees and includes closest-to-the-pin prizes on each hole, green fees, range balls and a $20 food and beverage voucher.

There will be Callaway and handicap flights.

A total of $1,200 in prizes will be available based on a full field of 60 players.

JeffCo hoops camp

PORT TOWNSEND — Jefferson County Parks and Recreation will hold its annual summer basketball camp for kids ages 6 through 13 from July 31 through Aug. 3.

The camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon at the Blue Heron Middle School gym, 3939 San Juan Ave.

Drills to improve technique in dribbling, shooting, passing and other fundamentals will be taught.

All skill levels are welcome.

The cost is $75 per player.

Players should bring their own snack and water bottle and wear non-marking shoes.

The deadline to sign up is Saturday.
