AREA SPORTS: Turkey Trot 5K fun run Saturday in Port Townsend

Turkey Trot along trail set Saturday in PT

PORT TOWNSEND — Turkey Trot 2023, a 5-kilometer run/walk and Kids Dash benefit for Jumping Mouse Children’s Center, will be held Saturday.

Jumping Mouse provides expressive mental health therapy for children ages 3-12.

Registration is $35 for the 5K, $15 for the 1-mile Kids Dash for ages 12 and younger.

The 1-mile Kids Dash begins at 9 a.m. with the Turkey Trot following at 9:30 a.m.

Virtual races also are available, and non-runners also can donate.

Registration is available at https://tinyurl.com/PDN-TurkeyTrot23 and will be available before the race.

Participants will receive a 2023 Turkey Trot beanie.

Participants can pick up bibs and beanies today and Friday beginning at 2 p.m. at The Broken Spoke, 630 Water St. in Port Townsend, or Finnriver Farm & Cidery, 124 Center Road in Chimacum.

Unclaimed packets will be available at 8 a.m. at the Larry Scott Trail at the Port Townsend Boat Haven.

Indoor soccer tonight

SEQUIM — Roster spots remain for Sequim FC’s Winter Indoor Soccer league ahead of tonight’s season opener.

The league is open to ages 18 and older as of Nov. 1.

The cost is $45 and covers seven Thursday evening game nights.

Games are held at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St., at 6:30 p.m.

Quileute hoops camp

LA PUSH — The Quileute Tribe and the Port Angeles Rams semipro basketball team will hold a free hoops camp Saturday.

The camp will be held at the Quileute Akalat Center, 1 By Yak Loop.

Players in kindergarten through fifth grade will attend from noon to 1:30 p.m.

A session for sixth-graders through high school seniors will be held from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
