Sequim youth football and cheer seeking sponsors
SEQUIM — Sequim Wolf Pack Youth Football and Cheer is seeking sponsors to cover team expenses. The program is seeking funding for equipment, equipment reconditioning and scholarships for underprivileged children this season.
Sponsorship levels are:
Alpha Wolf — $2,500 and above. Includes logo. on tunnel, signed football by league team, league photo, shirt, shirt advertisement, acknowledgement on website and programs at home games.
Wolf Pack — $1,000 to $1,999.99. Includes a signed Football by League Team of your choice, League Photo, Shirt, Shirt advertisement, acknowledgment on website and programs at all home games
Wolf Pup — $999.99 and below. League Photo, Shirt, Shirt advertisement, acknowledgment on website and programs at all home games.
Sponsors also can advertise on the Sequim Wolf Pack Utility Trailer.
Square footage is $50 per square foot with the maximum space available is 3 feet x 4 feet for a total of $600.
A business logo will be added to the program’s utility trailer that will be at all Sequim Wolf Pack games and other events.
Contributions and gifts are fully tax deductible.

Open tennis at PAHS
PORT ANGELES — A series of open court tennis sessions hosted by Port Angeles High School boys tennis coach Brian Gundersen will run from July 24-to-28 at the high school courts.
The sessions will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for any boys interested in playing tennis for the high school team this fall.
There is no sign up, just show up to play if you are interested and available.
PA Youth Soccer
PORT ANGELES — Fall registration is open until July 23 for Port Angeles Youth Soccer’s fall programs.
Players in the U5-U7 age categories will participate in an academy-style format Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Peninsula College.
Those in the U-8 through U15 age groups will practice on days and times scheduled by coaches and play games on Saturdays from Sept. 9 through Oct. 28.
Practice and game locations will be held at fields around Port Angeles.
The registration fee is $65 for all age groups.
There also is a high demand for coaches. Without enough coaches, the league may need to cut divisions this fall.

Soccer referee training
AGNEW — Youth soccer referees are needed around the North Olympic Peninsula and the state.
All referees must be registered with the U.S. Soccer Federation through the Washington State Referee Committee and complete a two-step process.
First, potential refs must take an online course and pass a test at WAReferees.org. Click on “I want to be a referee” and follow the directions.
The second step is to attend a field clinic.
A field clinic is set at the Agnew Soccer Fields from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 5. The online course must be completed before attending the clinic.
Once both steps are complete, referees can work around the state and register with the Washington Officials Association, which governs high school officials.
