Sequim youth basketball camp set June 16-19
SEQUIM — Sequim High School will host youth basketball camps for boys and girls entering first through third grades and fourth through sixth from June 16-19 at Rick Kaps Gymnaisium at Sequim High School.
Current Wolves players and coaches will instruct the camp.
Younger campers will attend from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., and the older group will participate from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The cost is $100.
Registration will be made at the door with checks made out to the Sequim ASB.
Hard Cider 5K
CHIMACUM — Finnriver Farm & Cidery will host the first Finnriver Farm Spiked Apple 5K, a 5-kilometer run/walk at noon on Saturday.
The price is $50 and includes a T-shirt, a 12-ounce cider glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a bottle opener, a homemade cider donut and a pour of cider.
Age-group winners will receive prizes, and finish-line pictures will be taken.

Proceeds will benefit the Community Wellness Program in Jefferson County, which brings local, fresh, nutritious food to students in Brinnon, Quilcene, Chimacum and Port Townsend.
Bike open house
PORT ANGELES — A balance bike open house for kids ages 5 and younger will be held at the Lincoln Park BMX Track, 1798 W. Lauridsen Blvd., on Wednesday.
The free event is open to those on a balance bike or starting to pedal.
Any balance bike rider who gets a membership at the open house will be entered to win a strider bike.
Children’s YouTuber Brecky Breck will be on site to meet kids.

Sequim Bike Rodeo
SEQUIM — Sequim Cub Scout Pack 4490 will host the Sequim Bike Rodeo, a bicycle safety and skills event for ages 3-10, on June 14.
The event will be held in the Sequim High School football field parking lot from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Each child must be able to ride a bike of some kind with training wheels and banana bikes permissible.
There will be stations teaching basic bike riding techniques, road safety rules plus prizes and a raffle drawing for all kids who complete the course.
Youth volleyball camp
SEQUIM — A coed youth volleyball camp for those entering grades three through six will be held at the Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St., from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. June 23-27.
Attendees will learn volleyball skills from experienced Momentum One Volleyball Academy coaches and players.
The cost is $30, which also covers Boys & Girls Club membership through Dec. 31.

Hoops camp in PT
PORT TOWNSEND — The Jefferson County Recreation Department will hold its summer basketball camp from July 7-10.
The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at Bruce Blevins Gym at Port Townsend High School.
The focus will be on improving fundamental skills through drills that improve technique, dribbling, shooting and passing.
The cost is $75 and the camp is limited to 50 players ages 5-14.
