Wilder Seniors fall at state; football camp Saturday in PA

PORT TOWNSEND — The Port Townsend Golf Course Players’ Club held four days of free youth golf lessons earlier this month for students ages 9 to 12, along with one ambitious 6-year-old.

Four Players Club members, Bruce Bode, Starla Audette, Jane Peoples and Wanda Synnestvedt split the group up for more individualized instruction.

“The students were delightful, energetic and very attentive to the instructors,” Audette said. “Some students were absolute beginners and by the end of the four days they were driving, chipping and putting.”

With high interest from players and parents, the four instructors decided to continue offering free lessons on Mondays and Wednesdays through August.
