AREA SPORTS: East Jefferson youth football camp starts Monday

EJLL Juniors at state tournament

CHIMACUM — East Jefferson Rivals Youth Football will hold a skills camp at the Chimacum High School practice field, 91 West Valley Road, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

All experience levels are welcome.

Players should wear athletic clothing, cleats and bring a water bottle.

Registration is $50 and will be collected before the camp begins Monday.

Bingo and car wash

PORT TOWNSEND — East Jefferson Rivals Youth Football and Cheer will hold two fundraising events this weekend.

A bingo night fundraiser for ages 21 and older will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at The Valley Tavern, 21 Chimacum Road in Port Hadlock.

A car wash fundraiser will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Port Townsend Les Schwab, 2355 W. Sims Way.

Donations will go toward gear for the upcoming football and cheer season.

Club softball tryouts

PORT ANGELES — Tryouts for the MGI Fastpitch club softball program will be held July 17 and July 20 in Port Angeles.

The program is open to girls ages 10-18.

PORT ANGELES — The second annual free football camp for grades 1-8 offered by Youth Athletes for Christ will be held at the Monroe Playfield from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 1.

Face painting, haircuts, a bouncy house, food, giveaways, fellowship and special guests also are planned.

Volunteers and sponsors interested in supporting the free camp can call coach Sam Salanoa at 360-775-4338.

Sponsors will be featured on the camp T-shirt given to each camper.

Clallam Amateur

SEQUIM — Open to all amateur golfers, the 54-hole 2025 Clallam County Amateur Championship will be contested at Peninsula Golf Club, Sunland Golf & Country Club and The Cedars at Dungeness July 11-13.

Entry fees are $210 for the public, $175 for members/employees and includes three rounds of golf, range balls, prizes, raffles, KP prize entry and lunch on the final day. Cart fees are not included.

Players will compete at Peninsula Golf Club or Sunland with 9:30 a.m. tee times July 12-13.

The final round will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start at The Cedars at Dungeness.
