East Jefferson Little League screens “The Sandlot” outdoors Saturday night

YMCA coed youth flag football league

PORT ANGELES — Registration is open until Friday for the YMCA of Port Angeles’ Youth Coed NFL Flag Football program for ages 5-through-12.

Teams will be located in Port Angeles and Joyce.

The Academy program is for ages 5-7 with practices on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. for eight weeks. Cost is $75 for nonmembers and $65 for Y members.

The League program for ages 8-12 practices on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. with games at 10 a.m. Saturday for 10 weeks. Cost is $85 for nonmembers and $75 for members.

Volleyball camp

SEQUIM — A coed volleyball camp for youth in grades 3-6 will be held June 24-28 at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St.

The camp will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. each day. A free lunch is served from noon to 1 p.m.

The cost is $30 and will cover club membership through 2024.

Momentum Volleyball Academy coaches and players will lead the camp.

The Sandlot tonight

PORT HADLOCK — A free outdoor screening of the youth baseball film “The Sandlot” will be hosted by East Jefferson Little League tonight SATURDAY NIGHT at Bob Bates Field, 200 Elkins Road.

Concessions will open at 6:30 p.m. with the film starting at dusk.

A whiffle ball game will be held on Field 3 before the movie.

The event is open to all ages and attendees should bring their own chairs and blankets.

Rainiers fundraiser

PORT HADLOCK — East Jefferson Little League is holding a Tacoma Rainier ticket sale fundraiser.

The league is selling tickets for Rainiers baseball games on June 23, July 20 and Aug. 3 and will retain $5 from every ticket sold.

Closing Day ceremony

SEQUIM — Sequim Little League will wrap the 2024 regular season with a Closing Day ceremony on June 8.

The ceremony begins at noon at the fields at 124 W. Silberhorn Road.

Gift baskets will be raffled off and a silent auction for items like 5-yards of fir bark plus delivery will be held.

The event will also feature a dunk tank, pitching contest, a foam party and concessions.
