AREA SPORTS BRIEFS: Strait Slice, Forks FC battle to tie in PSL action

PORT ANGELES — In a battle for first place in the Peninsula College Adult Soccer League, Strait Slice and Forks FC fought to a 3-3 draw, leaving Strait Slice in first by one point.

Strait Slice was left with a record of 6-0-3 for 21 points, while Forks FC is at 6-1-2 for 20 points. Zach Gray, Isaiah Ginrich and Sam Wattson scored for Strait Slice, while Hugo Sandoval Jr. scored a pair of goals for Forks FC. Arturo Dominguez added a goal.

High Energy Metals beat Ediz Hook FC 3-2. Hector Orosco of HEM had one of the four hat tricks in the league Sunday. Evan Cisneros and Nola Valenzuela each had a goal for Ediz Hook.

Los Primos beat Windermere 8-3 in a game that featured three hats tricks. Mehki Ashby scored three goals for Windermere, while Edgar Aceved and Juan Salgado each had hat tricks for Los Primos. Daniel Torres scored a pair of goals for Los Primos.

The Bandidos FC and Wilder FC battled to a 5-5 draw. C.J. Daniels and Chris Lopes each had two goals for Bandidos, while Balen Rose added a goal. Mike Ingraham and Ben Stanley each scored a pair of goals for Wilder FC. Alex Lopez added their fifth goal.

Pura Vida beat Meyer Electric 2-1 with Jennifer Gomez scoring both of Pura Vida’s goals. Nova Barret had a goal for Meyer Electric. Los Primos (6-2-0, 18 points) remains in third and Salazar Painting (5-2-1) is in fourth with 16 points.
