Roughriders hosting boys hoops camp
PORT ANGELES — Boys basketball players in grades three through eight can register for the Port Angeles Boys Summer Basketball Camp set July 22-24 at Port Angeles High School.
The camp will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. each night.
The cost is $40 per camper and all players will receive a T-shirt.
Port Angeles High School coaches and players will run the camp which will teach the fundamentals of the game with a focus on skill development.
Players should bring a basketball, shoes, gear and a water bottle.

3-on-3 tourney in PA
PORT ANGELES — A 3-on-3 basketball tournament will be hosted by the Port Angeles High School Boys Basketball program at the school gym on Saturday, July 27.
There will be age brackets for grades three through five, six through eight, high school (9-12) and an 18 and older division.
All bracket champions will receive T-shirts.
The cost to participate is $60 per team.

Volleyball camp
FORKS — A Gold Medal Squared Volleyball Camp for players in grades seven through 12 will be held at Forks High School on July 15-18.
Registration is available at tinyurl.com/PDN-ForksVolleyball.
A payment of $51.50 is required to reserve a spot in the camp. The full cost of the camp is $299.

Lefties blast off
PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles belted five home runs, including two deep bombs by Ronnie Rust, one of them a grand slam, as the Lefties dropped the Highline Bears 13-7 Wednesday night at Civic Field.
Rust tallied a Lefties season-high seven RBIs on the night to lead the way for Port Angeles in the nonleague victory.
Other home run hitters on the night for the Lefties were Nick DiPonzio, Nick Berry and Justin Fugitt.
DiPonzio also flashed some serious glove when he robbed a potential home run by Highline’s Dakota Hill in center field in the fourth inning.
Port Angeles improved to 14-14 overall on the summer with the win.
The Lefties are 10-13 in West Coast League play and will visit Cowlitz (7-16) tonight for the first of a three-game road trip in Longview.
