SEDRO-WOOLLEY — The Port Angeles boys basketball varsity team recently finished second at the 24th annual Sedro-Woolley Team Basketball Camp.
The Roughriders fell 43-38 in the finals to defending Class 1A state basketball champion Lynden Christian and Class 1A MVP Cole Bajema on Sunday after defeating the same Lyncs team 58-52 in a game Friday.
Port Angeles will host Lynden Christian in their regular season home opener on Nov. 29.
Head coach Kasey Ulin said a total of 28 Port Angeles players on three separate teams attended the camp.
The Riders have now played 21 of the 45 games planned for this summer.

PORT ANGELES — A football camp for those entering grades first through eighth will be held Monday through Thursday, July 16-19 by the Port Angeles High School Football Program.
The camp will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon each day.
Registration is $42.50 for one player, $72.50 for two and $102.50 for three.

The Roughriders also are inviting all Port Angeles youth football players to walk in the Fourth of July Parade in Port Angeles.
Participants will receive a free Riders Football shirt, will walk in the parade with the Port Angeles High School football team and coaches and hand out candy to the crowd.
PA trio honored
PORT ANGELES — The Washington State Softball Coaches Association released its Class 2A All-State team and three Port Angeles softball players received honors.
Senior outfielder Sierra Robinson and junior outfielder Ella Holland were voted to the All-State second team.
Olympic League 2A Division MVP Natalie Steinman was an honorable mention choice at second base.
Woodland pitcher Olivia Grey and coach Tom Christensen were picked as the 2A MVP and Coach of the Year, respectively, after the Beavers won the state championship.
