PA city league hoops sign ups underway now

PORT ANGELES — Registration is underway for the Port Angeles Parks and Recreation Department’s Men’s Basketball League.

The registration deadline is Nov. 2.

The season will begin Nov. 11 and runs until Feb. 28.

Games are played at the Roosevelt School Gymnasium.

The league is open to men and women age 18 and older.

The cost to register is $700 per team.

Players without a team can call Dan Estes at 360-417-4557 or email destes@cityofpa.us to be placed on a free-agent list.

Scramble at SkyRidge

SEQUIM — SkyRidge Golf Course will host its Fall Scramble Golf Tournament on Saturday.

The two-person, 18-hole scramble format event will begin with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.

Entries are $60 per team and include green fees, range balls, KP’s, team long putt and lunch after play. An optional honey pot is $30 per team.

No GHIN handicaps are needed.

Carts are available for $13 per seat.

Riders selling tickets

PORT ANGELES — Members of the Port Angeles Roughriders baseball team will sell tickets for their 2019 Riders Baseball First Pitch Banquet and Auction at tonight’s 6 p.m. Port Angeles-North Kitsap football game at Civic Field.

The banquet, set for 6:30 p.m. March 2, 2019, will be held at Chestnut Cottage restaurant.

Attendees will meet the 2019 Riders baseball team, enjoy a spaghetti dinner provided by Chestnut Cottage and have a chance to bid on silent auction items.

Raffle giveaways also will be made.

Tickets are $20 per person and all proceeds benefit the PAHS Baseball Program.
