AREA SPORTS BRIEFS: Port Townsend snow sports program slated

PORT TOWNSEND — The Kiwanis Club of Port Townsend is sponsoring the annual snow sports program at Stevens Pass Ski Area beginning in January.

The six-trip program begins Saturday, Jan. 5. The transportation cost is $130 and registration is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the recreation center downstairs at the Port Townsend Community Center at 620 Tyler St.

Hoops tourney

PORT ANGELES — There are still openings in some divisions for the Warehouse Holiday Hoops basketball tournament, which will be held Dec. 8-9 in Port Angeles.

There will be divisions for boys and girls teams from fourth grade through eighth grade.s There is a $250 entry fee and a four-game guarantee.
