Port Townsend Turkey Trot set
PORT TOWNSEND — The eighth annual Turkey Trot 5K and 1-mile Kids Fun Run in support of Jumping Mouse Children’s Center will be held Saturday along the Larry Scott Trail.
Proceeds from the event benefit therapy services for Jefferson County children.
The 1-mile Kids’ Fun Run begins at 9 a.m. for children ages 9 years old and younger.
The 5-kilometer (3.14-mile) event will begin at 9:30 a.m. on the Larry Scott Trail out of the Boat Haven in Port Townsend.
This sanctioned and certified USA Track and Field course is an out-and-back run along the waterfront portion of the Trail.
Coffee from Port Townsend’s Sunrise Coffee Co., hot cocoa and treats will be available at the finish line.
Prizes also will be awarded.
The 5K is $30 for adults, $25 for seniors 65 and older and active military and $15 for students under age 18. The Kids’ Fun Run is $10.

PA Turkey Trot
PORT ANGELES — The Second annual North Olympic Peninsula Turkey Trot 5K and 10K run will be held Nov. 28, Thanksgiving Day in Port Angeles.
Registration for the run will be taken up to 6 p.m. Nov. 27. The early registration cost is $25 for the 5K and $30 for the 10K, plus a processing fee. Multi-person families (three to six people maximum) early registration is $15 per family member for both the 5K and the 10K, plus a processing fee.
Regular registration is $30 for the 5K, $35 for the 10K and for families, $20 per family member, plus a processing fee. The deadline for regular registration is 6 p.m. Nov. 27.
On the day of the race, registration for the 5K is $35, for the 10K is $40 and for families, $25 per family member.
The 5K will be held from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and the 10K from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
The out-and-back course will go along the Olympic Discovery Trail, starting at the historic old Rayonier Mill site at 700 N. Ennis St. in Port Angeles.

Holiday Hoops
PORT ANGELES — The city of Port Angeles Parks and Recreation Department’s Holiday Hoops Tournament will be held Dec. 7-8.
There are divisions for boys and girls teams in grades four through eight.
The entry fee is $250, with a four-game guarantee.
The event is presented by the Warehouse.

SEQUIM — The Sequim Wolves Softball Boosters will meet today in Sequim.
The group will meet at Mariner Cafe, 609 W. Washington St., at 5:45 p.m.
Preparations for the Wolves’ 2020 high school softball season will be on the agenda.
