PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles bowlers improved to 3-1 by defeating visiting Olympic 7-0 on Monday.

Abby Robinson led all bowlers with a 170, while Sophie Constant recorded a 140 and Xoey Penn added a 135.

During the Baker games, Jule Getzin and Kenadie Ring joined the varsity lanes to help complete the sweep.

“We’ve had a variety of players step up and contribute in each victory,” said coach Becky Gundersen.

Late last week, the Roughriders also beat North Mason 5-2.

Trailing by a single pin going into the team Baker games, Port Angeles stormed ahead to win the match by 91 pins.

Paige Pangaro recorded a turkey (three straight strikes) on her way to setting a personal-best 201.

Robinson rolled a single game 158 and Zoey Van Gordon averaged 154 for the match (155-152). Also contributing to the victory were Constant (133), Penn (113-115) and Caidence Pozarzycki (125). Next up is a rematch with Olympic on Monday.

Port Angeles next hosts Bremerton at Laurel Lanes at 2:45 p.m. Monday.
