PA city league basketball registration

PORT ANGELES — Registration is open for the men’s city league basketball league offered by the city of Port Angeles Parks and Recreation Department.

The league is open to men ages 18 and older.

Games will begin the week of Sunday, Nov. 6 and will be held at Roosevelt Elementary School.

Fees are $440 per team, plus an individual player’s fee of $28 for city residents, $42 for non-city residents.

Team packets are available at the Parks and Recreation office, 308 E. Fourth St.

Players without a team can call and be placed on a “free agent” list.

The registration deadline is Sunday, Oct. 23

Youth basketball

PORT TOWNSEND — Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Pee Wee and Jr. Hoops basketball registration is underway.

To register, visit www.countyrec.com or stop by the Rec Center, 620 Tyler St., or Public Works office, 623 Sheridan St., in Port Townsend.

The costs are:

$55 for pre-k and kindergarten in two separate coed divisions and includes a custom T-shirt.

$60 for first- and second-graders (not coed) and includes a custom T-shirt.

$75 for third through sixth-graders (third- and fourth-grade and fifth- and sixth-grade divisions) and includes a numbered, reversible polyester jersey.

If players have their jersey from last year the fee drops to $60.

The registration deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 1.

Players who register after Nov. 1 will be placed on a waiting list and a $10 late fee will be added to fees.

Volunteer coaches are needed. Volunteers must pass a background check.

Coaches will meet at the Jefferson County Rec Center, 620 Tyler St., on the following dates and times: pre-k /kindergarten: 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8; first- and second-graders: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8; third and fourth grade: 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9; fifth- and sixth-graders, 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9.

Coed volleyball in PA

PORT ANGELES — Registration is underway for a coed volleyball league run by the city of Port Angeles Parks and Recreation Department.

The league is open to players ages 18 and older.

Games will begin the week of Monday, Oct. 17 and will be held at Stevens Middle School.

The cost is $300 per team. Player fees are an additional $28 for city residents, or $42 for non-city residents.

Players without a team can phone 360-417-4557 and ask to be placed on a free-agent list.

The deadline for registration is Friday, Oct. 7.
