AAU basketball tryouts starting Sunday in PA

PORT ANGELES — Tryouts for Port Angeles boys AAU basketball teams will begin Sunday at Stevens Middle School.

Players in grades three through six will tryout from noon to 2 p.m., while grades seven and eight will follow from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Tryouts also are scheduled from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, Oct. 13, and noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16 for grades three through eight.

All tryouts are in the Stevens gym.

Players only need to attend one tryout, but they are encouraged to attend as many as possible

All players must attend at least one tryout. There will be no exceptions this year.

If your son is unable to attend one of the scheduled tryouts, an individual tryout may be scheduled. Three coaches, and no more than two from any team, must be present for tryout to be valid.

Third graders may tryout for the fourth-grade team and may only make the team if there are not enough fourth-graders to fill out the roster or rosters.
