Crosscutters holding 11U baseball tryouts

SEQUIM — Olympic Crosscutters will hold tryouts for its new 11U summer travel baseball team this Saturday and again Sunday, May 7.

The tryouts will be held at the baseball field at Carrie Blake Park, 202 N. Blake Ave., at 6 p.m. both days.

The team will play in eight tournaments between June and August.

It will be coached by Adam Johnson of Port Angeles, Justin Giles of Sequim and Dan Anderson of Jefferson County.

The team will work with players who are already participating in other programs and work with players and coaches to accomodate existing schedules so players can play on more than one team.

The cost to play for the Crosscutters is $600 and includes three sets of uniforms and eight tournament fees.

Join Storm King club

SEQUIM — Tryouts for the Storm King Soccer Club will be held the weekend of May 6-7 at the Agnew fields, 1240 N. Barr Road.

Players must register to tryout at www.stormkingsoccer.com.

Tryout times for boys and girls U12-U19 players are listed on the website.

Players must bring a copy of their birth certificate to the tryouts, as well as water, cleats, shin guards and weather-appropriate clothing.

Summer soccer camp

SEQUIM — Sequim Junior Soccer will partner with UK Elite Soccer in offering summer soccer camp opportunities. The organizations offer camps for youths of ages 5-14 this summer, meeting 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 21-25 at the Albert Haller Playfields. Cost is $130.
