Stevens edges out Sequim in final seconds

PORT ANGELES — Joaquin Robideau drove the wing and made an off-balance layup with four seconds to play to lift Stevens Middle School to a 26-25 boys basketball win over Sequim.

The game-winning bucket was the only time Stevens held a lead in the second half.

“[We] played great defense but were just off offensively,” Stevens coach Scott Soule said.

“Contributing to those difficulties was equally terrific defense by Sequim.”

Robideau led Stevens with 12 points and eight rebounds.

Elijah Flodstrom added five points and seven boards for Stevens and Wyatt Edwards had five rebounds and four points.
