Motorized mayhem in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — American Thunder, a monster truck thrill show, roars into the Clallam County Fairgrounds tonight and Saturday.

Monster trucks, freestyle motocross, tuff trucks, mud bogs, sand drags, a thrill show from Dr. Danger, an appearance by Raging Inferno a jet-powered monster firetruck and a demolition derby are some of the activities planned for the event.

Monster truck rides also will be offered.

Tickets are $16 for ages 13 and older, $13 for ages 3-12 and are available at Willy’s Smoke Shop, Lynn’s Caboose and Liberty Arco gas station in Port Angeles, Carlsborg Shell and Kettle’s 76 in Sequim and Peninsula Recycling and Auto Wrecking in Port Townsend.

Tickets will be $2 more at the gate.

The gates will open at 5 p.m. and the show is set for 7:30 p.m. both nights.

Dr. Danger will return to present his thrill show during the Clallam County Fair in August.

Forks fun run

FORKS — The Forks Spartans boys basketball team will host a fundraiser fun run Saturday.

The run is open to all ages and will start and finish in front of the Forks High School gym, 261 Spartan Ave.

The entry fee is $5.

Registration will open at 8 a.m., with the race starting at 9 a.m.

FORKS — The Forks High School football team is looking to do odd jobs on a donation basis to help fund a trip to camp this summer.

If you need help around your house or business, team can help with jobs like lawn mowing, fire wood stacking/splitting, cleaning and more.
