PORT TOWNSEND — It’s last call for the Tour de Forts, set to happen Saturday in Jefferson County.
The Gran Fondo-style ride will tour three historic forts — Worden, Townsend and Flagler — and will culminate in an after-party celebration at Discovery Bay Brewing featuring live music, food and drink for participants.
All proceeds from the event will go toward the ReCyclery of Jefferson County.
This years’ event will implement a staggered start, grouping riders into one of several start times for a “big ride” feel and the goal of having participants finish at a similar time. All start times will have a recommended pace, but ultimately the rider decides where to seed him or herself.
Online registration will close at 5 p.m. Thursday. The tour will accept day-of-registrants at Discovery Bay Brewery, starting at 8 a.m., via credit or debit card. People are asked not to bring cash.
People will need to fill out forms and sign a waiver at that time. Riders are also asked to be patient with volunteers and staff as they will process day-of riders as fast as they can.
Cost is $50, $25 for a student and free for kids 12 and under.

Crescent-Quilcene game scheduled
JOYCE — Crescent and Quilcene will play an eight-man football game at Crescent High School at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Crescent’s (2-0) recent games against Lake Quinault and Concrete were canceled. A game early this season between Crescent and Quilcene was also canceled. Quilcene also had its game against Concrete canceled in late September.
Quilcene (2-1) is also playing Saturday in a Sea-Tac 1B League game against Sound Christian, formerly known as Tacoma Baptist.
