Register for school-year gymnastics

PORT ANGELES — Registration for school-year gymnastics classes at Klahhane Gymnastics opens Monday, Aug. 15, and fall classes begin Tuesday Sept. 6.

Classes are available Monday through Saturday for children ages 2-14.

The class schedule and registration forms are available at the gym and at www.klahhanegymnastics.org.

Registration forms and a tuition deposit must be submitted at Klahhane Gymnastics to reserve class space.

Klahhane offers a month-to-month rolling enrollment with payment by cash/check only as well as a 12-week trimester auto-pay plan.

The gym is located at 3318 E. Acorn Lane at the Port Angeles Wal-Mart intersection.

Office hours for registration are 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Aug. 18, and 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22 to Friday, Sept. 2.

Wolves gearing up

SEQUIM — All players turning out for the Sequim High School football team need to turn in physicals and turn in their sports paperwork to the school office, 601 N. Sequim Ave., before the first day of practice on Wednesday, Aug. 17.

The team will issue gear and hold a meeting at z 1 p.m. Wednesday, with practice following from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Only players who have paperwork turned in will receive gear and only those with both yellow and white cards completed will practice.

The first game of the season is at Port Townsend at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2.

PC hoops camp

PORT ANGELES — A basketball camp for boys and girls ages 7-16 will be hosted by the Peninsula College Athletic Department from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday, Aug. 22-25.

The camp will focus on ball handling, passing, shooting, defense and other basketball concepts.

Players should bring gym shoes, a water bottle and a basketball.

The cost is $75.
