Frosty Moss Relay race registration
PORT ANGELES — Registration is open for the 2020 Frosty Moss Relay, a race in which teams of runners travel the Olympic Discovery Trail and Adventure Route beginning at the Camp Creek Trailhead and finishing in Blyn at 7 Cedars Casino.
The event will be held Feb. 29.
The race is 80 miles in total and consists of 15 legs in a mix of distances on pavement and singletrack trail.
Full Frosty Moss teams have three or five runners. A three-person team is $295, five-person teams are $475.
A new addition is the 30-mile Mini Moss, which has eight legs and is designed for teams of two or four runners.
This race begins at the end of Ediz Hook in Port Angeles and follows the Olympic Discovery Trail to Blyn, a fully paved route.
Prices are $190 for a two-person team and a $380 for a four-person squad.

Future Riders update
PORT ANGELES — All three Future Riders teams won their North Olympic Youth Football League contests with Chimacum over the weekend.
The A squad rolled past Chimacum 56-6 for their first win over the Cowboys in years. Brayden Martin tossed two touchdown passes in the win, including a 10-yard strike to Conner Clark. Clark added 80 yards rushing.
The Future Riders B squad shut out Chimacum 20-0, dominating the game on the ground.
Fullback Logan Botero scored two clutch rushing touchdowns for the Future Riders. Boe Horejsi was a lockdown defender at cornerback for the winners.
Deacon Bell ran in a score and Noah Kiser stood tall defensively, including on a goal-line stand in the Future Riders C-squad’s 33-0 win over the Cowboys.
The Future Riders will host the Neah Bay Warriors in a tripleheader beginning at noon Saturday.
Future Riders squads will debut new custom jerseys. A new Riders Dog will be available at the concession stand and Future Riders Cheer will be there to cheer on the teams.
PC’s Lee honored
PORT ANGELES — Peninsula College freshman centerback Chunghwan Lee has been recognized as the Northwest Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Athlete of the Week for Week 5.
Lee has been an integral part of a stout Peninsula’s defense that has only allowed a league low three goals in nine matches this season.
“Lee has been a rock for us in the heart of our defense, said Pirate head coach Jake Hughes.
“He is composed on the ball and strong in a tackle. He leads by example and represents our program well. We are very grateful and fortunate to have Lee in our program. We’re excited to see him continue to grow as a Pirate.”
