AREA SPORTS BRIEFS: Forks FC takes over first place in PSL

PORT ANGELES — Forks FC took over sole possession of first place in the Peninsula Soccer League with a 4-2 win over High Energy Metals Sunday.

The Forks club, which got goals from Hugo Sandoval Jr., Tina Lonzalez, Tony Flores and Oscar Gonzalez Jr., improved to 7-1. Dustin Walsh and Nick Allen both scored for High Energy Metals, now 5-1-2.

Pablo Salazar found the net four times to lead Salazar Painting (6-2) to a 4-1 win over Strait Slice Pizza (2-3-3). Solas McGruther scored for the pizza club.

Windermere Real Estate improved to 5-2-1 with a 3-2 nod over Pantry & Latch, getting two goals from Luis Galvan and one from Ben Schneider. Mike Ingraham scored a pair for Pantry & Latch (4-3-1).

Bandidos rode a pair of goals from Chris Lopes, and solo strikes from Emmanuel Patterson and CJ Daniels, as well as an own goal, to beat Ediz Hook FC 5-2. James Walsh and Colin Ryan scored for Ediz Hook.

In the late match Sunday, Evan Cisneros scored twice, and Rafa Flores Sr. and Javier Gomez scored to lead Pura Vida over Los Primos 4-0.
