AREA SPORTS BRIEFS: Ethan Flodstrom named to NCAA Div. II All- Academic team

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Three Angelo State University baseball players — outfielders Ethan Flodstrom and Jacob Guerrero and pitcher Nick Wilson — have been selected for the 2025 NCAA Division II Baseball Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Communicators.

To be eligible, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.50 GPA and meet high athletic standards. Of the 28,000-plus nominations annually across all sports, about 2,000 will become eligible to be named to the CSC Academic All-America Team.

Flodstrom, a senior management major from Port Angeles, batted leadoff for much of the season and was among the NCAA D-II leaders in walks (55) and on-base percentage (.548). He batted .376 with 18 doubles, seven home runs, 50 RBI and 67 runs scored. He was named to the Lone Star Conference All-Academic Team and the All-LSC second team, and he received All-South Central Region recognition from the NCBWA, D2CCA and ABCA/Rawlings.

Flodstrom graduated summa cum laude from Angelo State on May 17.

Flodstrom played for the Port Angeles Roughriders, the Wilder Baseball Club and the Port Angeles Lefties. He previously played college ball at Tacoma Community College.
