AREA SPORTS BRIEFS: Boys’ tennis camp slated

Free boys tennis camp

PORT ANGELES — A free boys tennis camp will be offered by Port Angeles High School boys tennis coach Brian Gundersen from Monday through Friday, July 19.

The camp will be broken into two different sessions: 9 a.m. to 11 am for boys that are interested in joining the team (incoming freshman or older students new to the sport) and an 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. session for returning players from last year.

Players that attend should bring water, comfortable shoes and a tennis racket.

Rackets will be provided for those without one.

PA soccer camp

PORT ANGELES — Registration is open at www.paysc.com through Saturday, July 20 for this month’s Peninsula College Youth Soccer Camp.

The camp will run Monday through Friday, July 22-26 at Wally Sigmar Field at Peninsula College.

The cost to register players in birth years 2010 and 2011 is $35. Those players will attend the U8-U9 sessions from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The U10-16 (birth years 2003-2009) cost is $100. The U10-16 sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Youth soccer camp

PORT ANGELES — A youth soccer camp for ages 3-12 will be held at Volunteer Field practice field Monday through Friday, July 19.

Tiny Tykes (ages 3 and 4) will attend from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tiny Tykes registration is $92.

Ages 4 through 6 will attend from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $108.

Ages 6 through 12 will attend from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $144.
