PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles, Sequim and East Jefferson football players are well represented on the 2021 Olympic League North and South Division All-League teams.
The league was split into two seven-team divisions in 2021.
Sequim landed four first-team picks on the North Division squad. First-team selections for the Wolves were senior wide receiver Garret Hoesel, senior defensive back Michael Young, senior outside linebacker Walker Ward and senior linebacker Isaiah Cowan.
Senior offensive lineman Bodi Sanderson, senior outside linebacker Truman Nestor, junior offensive lineman Beau Halverson and sophomore wide receiver Isaiah Moore were all second-team selections for Sequim.
Port Angeles senior Jacob Felton earned two first-team nods for the South Division squad.
Felton was a first-team pick at linebacker and kicker, and he was voted to the second team as a running back.
Roughriders senior defensive end Robert Fors was a first-team pick.
Senior offensive lineman Treyton Walde earned a spot on the second team for Port Angeles. He was joined by junior defensive lineman Jaziel Livingston, junior running back Daniel Cable and junior safety Brantyn Fisler.
East Jefferson junior defensive lineman Chris Fair was a first-team South Division choice along with sophomore teammate Gerald Lindsey at linebacker.
Junior defensive back Lonnie Kenney, junior linebacker Anson Jones and junior special teams player Logan Massie were all second-team picks for East Jefferson.
North Kitsap quarterback/outside linebacker Colton Bower was voted North Division MVP, and Vikings teammate Cache Holmes picked as Defensive MVP. Bainbridge’s Cal Breen was the North Division’s Offensive MVP.
Klahowya running back/linebacker Hunter Wallis was the South Division MVP while Bremerton’s Kelo Logova was the choice as South Offensive MVP, and Klahowya’s Jake Manavie was voted Defensive MVP.
Match canceled
BELLINGHAM — Whatcom has canceled today’s women’s soccer match with Peninsula College citing a number of player injuries.
“Because of these injuries, our women’s soccer team does not have the ability to compete in a manner consistent with player safety [today],” Whatcom athletic director Danny Day said in an email to Peninsula College counterpart Rick Ross.
Ross said he does not expect the game to be made up. The Pirate women (2-0) will host Everett on Tuesday.
