Riders’ games live streamed by PAHS class

PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles Roughriders home football and volleyball games will be live-streamed on the Port Angeles High School YouTube channel beginning with tonight’s Port Angeles-Forks football game.

The live stream for tonight’s game will begin at 7 p.m. tonight at tinyurl.com/PDN-PAForksFB.

Port Angeles video production students will perform all technical aspects of the broadcasts, including producing, directing, videography and sound engineering.

Jim Moran and Bill Whitten will announce the contests.

Volleyball broadcasts begin with the Sequim-Port Angeles rivalry game Thursday.

That live stream will begin at 6 p.m.

Future Riders benefits

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Future Riders youth football and cheer programs will co-host a car wash benefit at Lovell’s Chevron, across from Swain’s at 601 E. First St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14.

A bake sale benefit for the youth football program also will be held Saturday, Sept. 14.

The bake sale will be held at the Lower Elwha Food and Fuel, along U.S. Highway 101 at 4773 S. Dry Creek Road, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bake sale goodies will include cookies, brownies, toffee, caramel sauce, pies, lemon bars, Rice Krispies Treats and more.

Tour de Forts

CHIMACUM — Tour de Forts, a supported cycling tour of scenic and historic sights such as Fort Worden and Fort Flagler State Parks, will be held Saturday, Oct. 5.

Cyclists can choose from an 11-mile, 26-mile or 62-mile loop.

All loops start and stop at Finnriver Cidery, 124 Center Road.

The cost is $40.

The ride benefits The ReCyclery, a nonprofit that strives to increase bicycle ridership in Jefferson County and provides education and bicycle recycling services.
