AMERICAN LEGION: Wilder Sr. crushes Kitsap in sweep

Landon Seibel 7 RBIs in one game

SILVERDALE — Wilder Sr. continued to dominate the Kitsap Rebels with a sweep Saturday by scores of 19-2 and 9-5.

In the first game, Wilder had 16 hits. Landon Seibel had a huge game, going 4-for-4 at the plate with a double and seven RBIs. Seibel also scored a pair of runs.

Jacob Felton also went 4-for-4 with a triple, a run scored and three RBIs.

Logan Olson went 2-for-3 with a run scored and three RBIs, a sacrifice fly and a walk. Connor Bear went 2-for-2 with a double, three runs scored, an RBI and a walk. Kamron Meadows went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a double. John Vaara also had a double, a run scored and an RBI.

On the mound, Adam Watkins was the winner, going four innings, allowing one earned run on six hits and three walks. He struck out one. Hunter Robinson pitched a scoreless fifth inning as the game was called after five innings.

In the second game, Wilder Sr. had to work much harder to pull out the win. Wilder and Kitsap went into the seventh inning with Wilder holding on to a 5-2 lead. Wilder scored four runs in the seventh, while Kitsap tried to rally with three in the bottom of the inning.

Wyatt Hall hit a home run for Wilder, going 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored and three RBIs. He also stole two bases and walked once.

Milo Whitman, a 2020 Port Angeles High School graduate who now plays baseball for Olympic College, had a hit, two runs scored, two stolen bases and three RBIs in his first action for Wilder Sr.

Watkins had a hit and two RBIs, while Felton had a hit, stole two bases and scored three runs.

On the mound, Seibel picked up the victory, going five innings and allowing just one earned run on three hits and one walk. Seth Woods went the final two innings, allowing two earned runs.

Wilder Sr. (9-2) plays a home game at Civic Field at 6 p.m. today against Seattle Select.
