ALL-PENINSULA BOYS TRACK TEAM: Sequim places several tracksters on team

MVP: Murray Bingham, Sequim, distance runner. 28 first-places finishes, 35 top 3 finishes, state 2A championship in 800 meters, third in state in the 1,600, third in the 4×400 relay.

All-Peninsula Team

Riley Cowan, Sequim, javelin, shot put. 14 first-place distances, 20 top 3 distances. League and district champion in the javelin. Second at state in the javelin.

Alec Shingleton, Sequim, middle distance runner. 10 first-place finishes. 18 top 3 finishes. Second at state in the 400 meters, third in the state in the 4×400 relay, fifth in the state in the 800 meters.

Nathan Cantrell, Port Townsend, distance runner. Ten first-place finishes, 17 top 3 finishes. League and district champion in the 3,200. Second at the 1A state meet in the 3,200.

Riley Martin, Sequim, 110-meter hurdles. One win, eight top 3 finishes in injury-shortened season. Finished second at state.

Darren Salazar, Sequim, sprinter. 23 first-place finishes, 32 top 3 finishes. Third in the state in 4×400 relay, fifth in the state in the 200-meter run and sixth in the state in the 100-meter run.

Ryan Strid, Clallam Bay, sprinter. Eight first-place finishes, 27 top 3 finishes. Third in the 1B state meet in 200-meter run and fourth in the state in the 100-meter run.

The Neah Bay 4×100 relay team (Toby Croy, Robert Richardson, Josey Tyree, Keith Johnson). Third in the 1B state meet.

Liam Clark, Port Angeles, jumping events. 18 first-place finishes. 25 top 3 finishes. District champion in the long jump. Fifth in the state 2A meet in the triple jump, 10th at the state 2A meet in the long jump.

Malachi Treadway, Crescent, hurdler. 10 first-place finishes, 23 top 3 finishes. Sixth at the state 1B meet in the 110-meter hurdles, ninth at the state 1B meet in the 300-meter hurdles.

Fischer Jensen, Sequim, hurdler. 12 first-place finishes, 21 top 3 finishes. District champion in 300-meter hurdles. Eighth at state in 300-meter hurdles.

Dylan Tracer, Port Townsend, hurdler. 7 first-places finishes, 17 top 3 finishes. District champion in both the 110-meter and the 300-meter hurdles. 10th at state in the 300 hurdles.

Luke Dahlgren, Forks, discus and shot put. Nine first-place distance. 14 top 3 distances. District champion in the discus. 13th at the 1A state meet in the discus, 13th at the 1A state meet in the shot put.
