ALL OLYMPIC BOYS SOCCER: Port Angeles’ Miller and Close, Sequim’s Feik make first team

PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles’ Matthew Miller and Landon Close, and Sequim’s Colin Feik all made the Olympic League all-league first team for boys soccer.

Miller, just a freshman, led the Roughriders with 14 goals and four assists. Close was a senior defender and Feik a freshman center-back.

Making the second team were Port Angeles senior midfielder Hannes Spieker, who had six goals for the Riders and Jacob Miller, a senior midfielder who had two goals and five assists. The Miller brothers, Spieker and Close led the Riders to a third-place finish in league and a postseason berth.

Also making the second team were Sequim left-back Nova Barrett and goalkeeper Nolan Valenzuela.

Named to the sportsmanship team were Sequim forward Ethan Anderson and Port Angeles goalkeeper Marcus Hogan.

The league most valuable player was Damoni McKenna-Greenawalt of Bainbridge.
