ALL LEAGUE WRESTLING: Five Port Angeles wrestlers earn honors

PORT ANGELES — Five Port Angeles grapplers were named to the Olympic League 2A wrestling all-league team, while Roughriders coach Rob Gale was named coach of the year.

Making the team for the boys were Port Angeles’ Adam Borde at 132 pounds, Josh Boe at 145 pounds and Jason Kibe at 182 pounds. Borde placed fifth at state.

For the girls, the Riders’ Natalie Johnson made all-league at 110 pounds, and Lily Halberg was named at 125 pounds.

Winning the Roughriders’ sportsmanship awards were Boe for the boys and Halberg for the girls. Sam Fitzgerald and Alexi Rampp-Taft of Sequim also received sportsmanship awards.
