PORT ANGELES — The Olympic League’s All-League Football Team is well-stocked with Port Angeles and Sequim athletes, highlighted by Offensive MVP Daniel Cable of Port Angeles.
Cable, a senior, also earned a first-team nod at defensive back in the voting conducted by league coaches and the explosive back also was tabbed as the league’s second-team kick returner.
Cable finished the season with 860 yards rushing, nine rushing touchdowns, 186 yards passing and two passing touchdowns (including a 99-yard TD pass), and 506 yards receiving and four receiving touchdowns. He also had a 65-yard punt return for a touchdown, an 86-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, three interceptions returned for touchdowns and a fumble recovery returned for a TD for 19 total touchdowns. He had five interceptions total.
Senior teammate and linebacker Jaziel Livingston joined Cable on the first team.
Senior wideout Beckett Jarnagin was a second-team selection offensively for the Riders and also was the team’s Sportsmanship Award recipient.
Port Angeles senior Blake Peterson earned a second-team nod along the defensive line.
Port Angeles sophomore lineman Cole Johnson also was picked to the second-team offense and sophomore linebacker Jason Hawes was a second-team pick.
Sequim landed two senior and two sophomore first-team selections.
Sophomore quarterback Lars Wiker was a first-team pick at signal caller and classmate Ayden Holland earned first-team honors along the offensive line.
Senior Pryce Glasser was picked as a first-team defensive lineman and senior punter Brandon Wagner was the first-team punter and the second-team placekicker for the Wolves.
Senior Kobe Applegate was a second-team pick at wide receiver and junior linebacker Aiden Gockerell was a second-team choice at linebacker.
Isaac Blanton was Sequim’s Sportsmanship Award recipient.
North Kitsap senior Colton Bower was the Olympic League MVP after the Washington State University baseball recruit reset the Vikings’ passing records.
Defensive MVP honors went to North Kitsap junior Sofian Hammou.
