LETTER: It’s imperative to vote in this year’s election

If you sit this one out, we could end up with a Trump presidency, which would be disastrous.

Don’t sit out this presidential election.

If you don’t vote, you have no right to complain about the government.

Most of the elections I have voted in, I was not able to vote in favor of any candidate.

I had to vote for the lesser evil. That is just the way of our democracy.

This election is not a game.

The U.S. is the most powerful nation on Earth.

Governance is a complicated process that takes a lifetime of dedication to learn.

Effective management of our government is critical, not just for us but for all the people on this planet.

You may not trust Clinton, but a Trump presidency would be a disaster.

His campaign has been marked by lies and flip-flops as he stirs up fear and anger without offering solutions.

We have no idea where he stands, and his business acumen – marked by numerous bankruptcies and lawsuits documented in recent biographies – doesn’t translate to political effectiveness.

Clinton has a long, consistent history of public service.

We know what she is passionate about.

She is respected by leaders worldwide for her efforts.

Accusations about her are mostly the result of a long history of Republican witch-hunting.

Trump supporters will vote.

If you sit this one out, we could end up with an irrational, incompetent and dangerous president.

You may not agree with Clinton’s ideology, but she is reasonably moderate, and she is the only valid candidate for the office of president of the United States.

Sequim
