Man injured in collision on US Highway 101

GARDINER — A medical event at the wheel led to a collision that sent one man to a hospital.

Terry Allen, 76, of Port Ludlow reportedly suffered a medical emergency, causing him to accelerate his 2008 Ford Mustang and collide with a 2017 Subaru Outback in front of him, according to the State Patrol.

Allen was taken to Olympic Medical Center, where he was reportedly in stable condition Monday afternoon.

The driver of the Subaru, Emma Keneally, 32, of Seattle, was uninjured.

Both vehicles were traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 101. The collision occurred about 2:05 p.m. Sunday at milepost 274 in Gardiner, the State Patrol said.

Allen’s vehicle was towed away before traffic along the highway resumed.
