You spoke, we listened: Peninsula Daily News rolls out new Arts & Entertainment section

You spoke, we listened: Peninsula Daily News rolls out new Arts & Entertainment section

YOU SPOKE AND we listened.

The Peninsula Daily News has repackaged Peninsula Spotlight and Peninsula Weekend into one handy section named, Arts &Entertainment.

Everything you are accustomed to finding in Peninsula Spotlight and Peninsula Weekend is still offered. It’s just all in one place now.

We cover the lively and fine arts as well as festivals, lectures and other events in Arts &Entertainment.

The section aims to serve as a guide to everything a person might want to do on the North Olympic Peninsula over the weekend — along with events happening in the following week.

Also in the section, you will find listings of movies showing locally and Nightlife, which once were at home in Peninsula Spotlight, as well as a list of brief items repeating information about events happening across the Peninsula, once a part of Peninsula Weekend.

Merging the two entertainment sections allowed us to make another big change: Sports now has its own section on Fridays. Color photographs are possible now that Friday sports opens the B section and is no longer part of the A section.

The faith page, comics and weather page now make up the back part of the B section. Death notices and obituaries have been moved to the A section.

What hasn’t changed is how you give us information about your upcoming events. Send notices to news@peninsuladailynews.com, lleach@peninsuladailynews.com and mswanson@peninsuladailynews.com, just as you do now.

We hope you enjoy the repackaged section. Suggestions for improvements are always welcome. Send them to lleach@peninsuladailynews.com.
