PORT ANGELES — A 48-year-old woman failed to negotiate a corner on state Highway 112, lost control and landed her 1999 Chevy Tahoe in a ditch Friday morning, according to firefighters.
The woman, whose identity was not known Saturday, was able to self-extricate from her car after the single-vehicle wreck.
Clallam County Fire District No. 2 responded to the report of a rollover wreck westbound at milepost 57, just east of Eden Valley Road, around 6 a.m. Friday, according to a press release from Mike DeRousie, Fire District No. 2 assistant chief.
The 1999 Chevy Tahoe had rolled and landed on its roof, he said.
Medics treated the woman for “any injuries” and transported her to a hospital, he said.
Fire District No. 2 responded with an engine, medic unit and command vehicle; State Patrol responded with two units; and the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office responded with two units.
The State Patrol did not respond to a request for comment.
