PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce has announced winners from the annual Fourth of July Parade.
This year’s parade featured 68 entries, many of which focused on the 2019 theme “Love Where You Live — Our Journey Together.”
The grand marshal was Frances Charles, chairwoman of the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe.
Judges at the corner of Front and Laurel streets scored the entries for workmanship, design, general effect, theme, costumes and casting.
Cash prizes were sponsored by Mister Buds for outstanding float, outstanding musical entry and outstanding thematic entry.
The winners are:
• Outstanding Float: first place, Sequim Irrigation Festival, $1,000; second place, Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County, $500; and third place, The Answer for Youth, $200.
• Outstanding Musical entry: first place, Ghostlight Productions, $400; and second place, Port Angeles High School Alumni Marching Band, $200.
• Outstanding Thematic entry: first place, New Moon Craft Tavern, $400; and second place, Olympic Peninsula/Port Angeles KOA, $200.
