Construction on another segment of the Olympic Discovery Trail is set to begin as early as next summer.
Clallam County commissioners on Tuesday approved a local agency agreement to upgrade 16 miles of the existing Spruce Railroad grade for biking, hiking and equestrian use west of Lake Crescent.
The trail extension will begin at the west end of Spruce Railroad Trail, which runs along Lake Crescent’s north shore, and will end at Cooper Ranch Road near U.S. Highway 101.
