The Strait of Juan de Fuca Highway — state Highway 112 –_ has been named one of America’s most treasured drives.
The highway, which starts near the Elwha River west of Port Angeles and ends in Neah Bay at the Makah Reservation, was named one of America’s 10 most beautiful drives by the Society of American Travel Writers on Friday.
“This sensory drive experience includes a Victorian seaport, 19th century general stores and an island lighthouse,” an entry on the society Web site said.
