FORKS — Retirees and current employees of Rayonier Inc. were honored by West End community members Wednesday as part of a celebration of the company’s 75th anniversary.
During a special luncheon, Forks city officials, Clallam County commissioners, Forks Chamber of Commerce representatives, Quillayute Valley School District administrators and other community leaders cheered the generosity of Rayonier.
“Drive up and down streets in Forks and you will see how Rayonier, the Rayonier Foundation and their employees have helped the community,” City Attorney/Planner Rod Fleck said during the luncheon.
About 50 people — including several Rayonier retirees — attended the noon event hosted by the chamber.
