FORKS — One man is dead and another man was hospitalized as the result of an apparent gang-related attack late Saturday night in a trailer park near Forks.
A Clallam County sheriff’s official said Perete Gonzales Ciro, 25, of Forks, died of multiple stab wounds after he was attacked as he fled the scene of a fight at Elk Creek Trailer Park near Forks.
Sheriff’s deputies have been unable to identify any suspects in the incident, which occurred just after 11 p.m. Saturday.
“The fight involved Hispanic males who live in or near the trailer park,” said sheriff’s Chief Deputy Fred DeFrang.
“Information about the incident has been slowed by language barriers, because none of the men speak English.”
Ciro was pronounced dead in the emergency room at Forks Community Hospital, where he had been transported by private vehicle from the crime scene..
Enrique Hernandez Ledezma, 31, of Forks, was transported with a deep shoulder wound by helicopter from Forks to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he underwent surgery early Sunday morning.
