WEEKEND: Second Weekend events continue today (Saturday) in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — Although some events were Friday night, Second Weekend art festivities continue today in downtown Port Angeles.

Here’s the lineup of activities, free of charge unless otherwise noted.

■ Studio Bob, 1181/2 E. Front St., hosts a new show starring artists Michael Anderson, Arlene Blume and Larry White, with a free opening reception Saturday from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m.

Refreshments are on tap at the adjacent Loom bar, and then Trifecta, a trio from Seattle, will fill the place with rock, soul and blues from 8 p.m. onward.

Tickets to the dance party are $7 in advance at Odyssey Books, 114 W. Front St., and at brownpapertickets.com.

Admission will $10 at the door.

■ The Harbor Art cooperative, 110 E. Railroad Ave., showcases mixed-media creations by Tammy Hall and Anna Wiancko, ceramics by Cindy Elstrom and, this Saturday from 2 p.m. till 6 p.m., artist Bob Stokes’ gourmet burgers and drinks served on the patio.

Art and food lovers are invited to dine alfresco there, with proceeds supporting the Port Angeles Arts Council.

Harbor Art will also host an evening reception from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. Saturday.

■ The Heatherton Gallery, on the ground floor of The Landing mall at 115 E. Railroad Ave., features Dee Green’s acrylics and ceramics, jewelry by Linda Parcell and five guest artists plus music by singer-ukulele player Roma Peters, aka Hawaii Amor.

Refreshments, art and music flow from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.

■ Cafe New Day, 102 W. Front St., features dessert samples plus a showcase of mixed-media silk paintings by Bob Stokes during Saturday evening’s art walk from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

■ The Landing Artists Studio is a working studio next door to the Heatherton Gallery at The Landing mall.

Art demonstrations and conversation with artists await during the Second Weekend reception from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.
