PORT ANGELES — Donations to the United Way of Clallam County’s 2015 annual campaign totaled $726,353.

More than 2,000 businesses, employees and individuals contributed to the fund, which will be allocated to 24 partner agencies that provide education, health and income-related services to county residents and other nonprofits designated by donors.

The United Way’s goal for 2015 was $950,000. Last year, the campaign raised $780,000, said Corey Delikat, a member of the United Way of Clallam County Board of Directors and campaign coordinator.

United Way board members and staff will acknowledge donors at the campaign celebration from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 5 at the Red Lion Hotel, 221 N. Lincoln St., Port Angeles.

Tickets will be $10 at the door. RSVPs are requested by calling 360-457-3011 or emailing info@unitedwayclallam.org.

The celebration is sponsored by US Bank, Green Crow, Olympic Medical Center and Jennifer Ciarlo at Edward Jones.

“We’ve had a lot of changes in the last year,” Delikat said.

“We moved to a new location” at 1601 E. Front St., “hired new staff and ran the annual campaign with all volunteers.

“We have so many people to thank and I am pleased with the hard work our board, staff and volunteers put into this organization.”

Delikat also thanked campaign co-chairs Paul McHugh and Norm Shaaf along with Patty Hannah, former United Way executive director, “who helped our volunteers behind the scenes.”
