PORT ANGELES –– Artists at the Landing Studio will celebrate the recently completed remodel of the studios as part of the city’s Second Weekend Art Walk in downtown Port Angeles.
Demonstrations by felter Jennifer Bright, multi-media Zentangle artists Janie Brackney and mono prints by Linda Stadtmiller will highlight the grand re-opening of the gallery, 115 E. Railroad Ave., from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
Saturday night will feature digital fractals by Pamela Dick, beading by D.J. Walsh and strip canoe design by Bill Crozer.
■ Kristen Kudebeh will paint while the Steve Grandinetti Band kicks out the jams during the Second Friday Art Rock, the painting/music mashup party, at 8 tonight at Bar N9ne, 229 W. First St.
The event includes a $3 cover which is split between the artist and musician.
■ Studio Bob, 118½ E. Front St., will host the 13th biannual “Bring Your Own Art” show from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Established artists, budding artists, the young and the old are welcome to show as many as three pieces.
Cost to display is $5 per piece, and art must be delivered by 7 p.m. today.
■ The Harbor Art Collective located at 110 E. Railroad Ave. will feature Ann Elizabeth Fisher’s “Necklaces with a Story.”
Fisher will show off her “signature pieces with a story” at a reception from
5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.
■ Linda Collins Chapman has been selected as featured 3-D artist for July at Heatherton Gallery at The Landing mall, 115 E. Railroad Ave.
■ A reception for the newest exhibit of bronze and steel statues made by sculptor Kevin Willson of Langley will be at Cafe New Day, 102 W. Front St., at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Willson, co-founder of Whidbey Island’s The Art Works, will display wall hangings, sculpted hydroplanes, a windblown tree and abstract pieces.
■ The natural photography of Shawna Burrows of Forks will be shown at Karon’s Frame Center, 625 E. Front St., from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
■ Charlie Comstock’s stereographic images of the Olympic Peninsula will be featured at InSpired! Gifts, 124 W. First St., Saturday.
Comstock’s work will also be featured in the North Olympic Library System’s Port Angeles branch during its “Art in the Library” exhibit tonight.
